Hi there,

Thanks for dropping in to Pigglet's place.

The appeal funds generated by parents, the PTA, sponsorship, covenants and 'buy a brick' total Ł28,900 as at June 2000. A very big thank you goes out to all who worked so hard to get the appeal of the ground and raise this magnificent sum. It is safely accruing interest every day so that the school can meet its five annual Ł9000 repayments to the LEA. Governors have estimated that there will be a few thousand pounds shortfall in 2003 when the final repayment is due. We believe that with careful monitoring and budgeting we can minimise the impact of this on the future school budget.

This would not have been possible without the vision, enthusiasm and hard work of everyone who was involved in the early stages of the appeal. It would be difficult to name particular individuals for fear of missing out anyone, but they know who they are and can take pride in their achievement.

GIFT AID

From April 2000 the covenant scheme came to an end but tax can be reclaimed on all covenants in existence. It is now possible to reclaim tax from any monetary gift made to a charity via the Gift Aid scheme, no matter how small. If you would like to donate money to the appeal, contact the school office for a form (tel. 940 2645). We would recognise any donation in our appeal book.
