Christmas Party

The December meeting of the Wargrave Local History Society was our traditional ‘Christmas party’. Members gathered in the Hannen Room, Wargrave, for ‘festive fare’ prepared by Wendy Smith and her daughter Bethany, and took part in a quiz based on photographs of parts of the village. Some of these needed much thought to be identified - even some ‘long time’ residents finding them ‘tricky’!

The forthcoming meetings are :-

Tuesday, January 11th, Margaret Railton will talk about the history of Waltham St Lawrence,

Tuesday February 8th, Ron Smith will talk about Edwin Lutyens and his Two Ladies.

Tuesday March 8th, will take the form of a historic Wargrave slide presentation, following a brief Annual General Meeting.
