the Wargrave News - February 2004 |
A public
meeting took place on 13 January 2004 to look back at the 2003
Village Festival and to provide early ideas for the 2005 Festival.
Committee members and residents attended to hear a report from the
retiring chairman Carlton Barnard and for the presentation of the
accounts for 2003.
Carlton
Barnard said, "the 2003 Festival was a great success and the
feedback from individual members of the public has been very
encouraging indeed."
Work is
now beginning on the 2005 Festival and the first stage was the
election of the new committee members. Paul Fidler took over as
chairman and expressed his thanks to Carlton Barnard for his
tireless efforts during the past three Festivals.
At the
meeting the new Chairman said: “We are keen to get more feedback
from the people who attend and support the festival. To this end we
are planning to run an opinion survey that will come out in the next
two months. The survey will be available through the Wargrave News,
by e-mail or you can access it on the Wargrave website. We need your
feedback to shape the next festival in a way that will make the
event even more successful than last year. Please use this
opportunity to say what you like and don't like about the Festival
by taking part in the survey.”
